Stephen Siddall born 1749.

Stephen Siddle was a wheelwright. He moved to Masham with his brothers Ralph and Benjamin in the 1770s. On the 18th September 1783, he marries Mary Gill aged 24.
This year, George III is on the throne, William Pitt is prime minister and the Britain recognises the independence of American colonies.
On the 14th December that year, their first child, Hannah is born. Following Hannah, on the 6th april 1788 a boy, Stephen is born.
This year, the London Times was first published.
We don't hear any more from Stephen until the 1800, when Mary Gill, widow of the late Stephen Siddall marries Thomas Mainman, a tailor of Masham and in 1804 they have their first child.
